    How to split a PDF

    1. Add your PDF. Thumbnails of its pages appear.
    2. Choose Keep them or Remove them.
    3. Tap the pages, or type them, for example 1-3, 5.
    4. Set a KB limit if your form has one.
    5. Check the preview, then save the new PDF.

    When it helps

    • A form asks for one certificate, but your scan has every certificate in one file.
    • A bank statement has 12 pages and the form wants the last 3 months.
    • A scan has blank backs of pages you don’t need to upload.

Pages keep their original order and quality. To join pages from different files, use merge PDF.

    Questions

    Is my PDF uploaded?

No. ReadyFile splits it in your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your document never leaves your device.

    How do I pick pages?

Tap the page thumbnails, or type pages and ranges such as 1-3, 5 or 8- (page 8 to the end). The two stay in sync.

What's the difference between keep and remove?

Keep saves only the pages you pick. Remove saves every page except the ones you pick, which is quicker for dropping a blank page or two.

    Will the pages lose quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable. ReadyFile only compresses if you set a KB limit and the new file is over it.

Can I split every page into a separate file?

Not yet. For now, save the pages you need as one PDF. To get each page as an image, use PDF to JPG, which saves them all in one ZIP.

My PDF has a password. Can I split it?

Its pages can't be copied while it's locked. Open it in Compress PDF first, which asks for the password and saves a copy without it, then split that copy.
