How to merge PDFs
- Add two or more PDFs. You can pick several at once.
- Put them in order with the arrows.
- Leave the limit on No limit, or set the KB your form asks for.
- Check the preview, then save the merged PDF.
Why merge?
Many application portals have one upload box for “all documents”, or ask for your certificates as a single PDF. Merging puts them together in the order the form lists them, without retyping or rescanning anything.
Pages stay as they are
Merging copies each page across unchanged, so text stays selectable and nothing loses quality. ReadyFile only compresses when you set a limit and the merged file is over it.
Need just some pages from a PDF? Use split PDF. Have photos instead of PDFs? Use JPG to PDF.
Questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. ReadyFile merges them in your browser, on your own phone or computer. Certificates and ID documents never leave your device.
Will merging lower the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable. Only if you set a KB limit and the merged file is over it does ReadyFile compress it, and then it tells you.
Can I change the order?
Yes. Files are joined in the order of the list. Use the arrows to move a file up or down, or the cross to remove it.
One of my PDFs has a password. What do I do?
Its pages can't be copied while it's locked. Open it in Compress PDF first, which asks for the password and saves a copy without it, then add that copy here.
How many files can I merge?
Up to 20 files and 500 pages in one go.
My form needs one PDF under 500 KB. Can this do it?
Yes. Set the limit to 500 KB. If the merged file is bigger, ReadyFile compresses it to the sharpest result that fits. Black and white keeps text documents crisp at a much smaller size.
