How to convert WebP to JPG

    1. Leave the limit on No limit for a full-quality JPG, or pick a limit if a form needs one.
    2. Add your .webp image.
    3. Check the ticks, then save the JPG.

    WebP or JPG?

WebP is a newer format that makes smaller files at the same quality, so websites like it. JPG is older but works everywhere: every phone, every computer and almost every upload form. If a form or app says the file type isn’t supported, a JPG fixes it.

Need it under a size limit?

Forms often set a maximum, such as 100 KB. Pick that limit above instead of No limit and ReadyFile converts and compresses in one step, at the best quality that fits. For exact pixels as well, use a photo tool with that form’s preset.

    Questions

Why did my image save as WebP?

Many websites serve images as WebP because the files are smaller and pages load faster. When you save or download the image, you get the WebP file the site sent.

Why won't my form accept WebP?

Many job, exam and government portals only accept JPG (and sometimes PNG). Renaming the file to .jpg doesn't change its format, and some portals check. Converting makes a real JPG.

    Will the JPG lose quality?

Not that you can see. With "No limit" we save at quality 92 and keep the full size. The JPG is usually bigger than the WebP.

    What happens to transparent areas?

JPG has no transparency, so see-through areas become white. That suits logos and screenshots on most forms.

    What about animated WebP?

You get the first frame as a still JPG.

    Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your image never leaves your device.
